From what I understand, on Nirvana Day Buddhists mark the death of Buddah: It celebrates the belief that all things must pass to paraphrase George Harrison ( sorry showing my age). It also highlights the fact that losses and changes we experience during our lifetime should be accepted rather than be taken as a source of pain and grief. I guess in our hurried times, we can all use a pause, a time to reflect.
Discovered this week that today is Nirvana Day (not the band) a buddhist holiday
