Light snow is falling outside so I decided to start the day on a light musical note.
PingMag, one my favorite Japanese sites, catches up with The Police in Stewart Copeland: Everyone Stares.
They interview the platinum blond to gray drummer turned film maker on Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out, the documentary of the same name. It seems the movie got less than glowing reviews.
The PingMag article offers a number of photos taken from scenes of the movie and links to You Tube videos taken at the event.
I also found out on Stewart Copeland‘s Official Site that while in Tokyo he DJ’d, spinning selected records from the British Punk Era at locally renowned festival Punkspring 2007.
Sounds more like a fashion show than a music festival to me but I guess everything becomes fashion at one point or another.
I started the day going sideways with this music/nostalgia story.
I would rather go to a Pinot Noir Festival such as Pinot Days than a Punk Festival to be honest.
Other Police related pieces: A Sting operation, or rather Trudy’s
