Described as the first installment of ‘Wasserman Cuvee’, Le Jardin de Charlotte (2006) is the result of a collaboration between Burgundy evangelist Becky Wasserman and her son Peter plus an A-List of local producers.
According to Morrell Wines, they count F. Mungier, M. Lafarge, D. Bachelet, Lignier-Michelot…
The grapes ( 100% Pinot Noir) were sourced from both North and South Burgundy and the wine matured mostly in stainless steel so it would showcase its youthfulness and great fruit.
Peter says that him and his mother decided they wanted to create "a good Pinot Noir from Burgundy that was thirst-quenching, delicious,
quaffable and would be something that we could enjoy on a hot summer or
late fall day that was not an intellectually challenging".
Charlotte is indeed a Standout Pinot Noir, retails around $20.
