A new twist on a popular cocktail is always welcome as the sun is finally with us.
Here is a Strawberry-Rhubarb Cosmopolitan recipe (from Amir’s Garden):
Rhubarb and strawberry infused simple syrup,
Freshly squeezed lime juice,
Strawberry vodka,
A splash of cranberry
The
simple syrup is made by taking 1 pound of sugar, 1/2 liter water, with
2 cups chopped rhubarb and 7 good size strawberries cut into half, for
15 minutes on simmer. Strain the syrup and let it cool.
After you have the simple syrup mix as follows:
1oz Rhubarb simple syrup3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1 1/2 oz strawberry vodka
1 oz cranberry juice
Shake well and strain into martini glass
Garnish with half strawberry on rim
