I changed my desktop a couple of months ago and I am now in the market for a flat screen monitor.
I have been checking reviews and prices and made a stop yesterday at a nearby Staples to take a look at a couple of them.
Since a lot of my computer time is spent on the Internet, I thought that part of my ‘try before you buy’ experience should be done by visiting a few sites I frequently read and logging into other sites I use for my daily writing and the like.
There was only one problem, at this Staples store, the computers are not connected to the internet.
All I could use for my test according to the staffer present was sample pictures.
Would I imagine buying an audio system without playing a few different compact discs to hear how it sounds?
Would I pick a TV without looking at how a few channels come up?
Can I just rely on the reviews and the ads to make a choice?
Should I just pick a monitor without proper testing knowing that if I don’t like it I can return it no question asked?
Imagine buying a car without driving it?
Has anyone bought the Acer X213WBD (21.6" Widescreen LCD Monitor) currently on sale at Staples (online only).
