I rarely go see a band live these days except during my stay in Austin for South by Southwest.
What stops most of us from attending gigs by our favorite musicians is the sticker price.
In our Consumed to Thrifty times, this might become even more widespread.
I cannot remember how I stumbled onto Fabchannel, I only know I am glad I did.
This site from Holland offers some 900 Full Length Concerts, all of them Free to Enjoy .
I gave them a try with Elbow from Manchester (UK). I discovered them (read about) only recently.
The 'atmospheric quality' of some of the songs reminded me of The Blue Nile.
Getting back to Fabchannel, all styles of music are represented from Bebel Gilberto and De La Soul and Bloc Party and the B-52's to name a few, a little light on the Jazz side I have to say.
Can't always get what you what!
The only downside to my first Fabchannel experience was the grainy 'quality' of the 'full screen' view.
Good audio though!
