When I saw them presented in a small gift purse, I was intrigued, what are these I asked Valerie of Chocolats Pralus?
We call them 'Feves Cacaotees' was the answer.
If you want to taste "la difference", they will please you.
These are raw cocoa beans from Indonesia dusted (enrobees) with cocoa powder.
At around $5 for the small purse, they are a great Consumed to Thrifty gift idea for friends with a discerning palate.
Who said adventure had to be expensive?
Of the other great things offered on the Pralus table at the Chocolate Show, if you are not afraid of rich, powerful flavors, the 100% Criollo from Madagascar was amazing.
It is still with me.
I could only compare the experience to tasting a great, big red wine.
