What is he thinking you might ask? Today is Monday not Tokyo Thursdays.
Since my first visit to the Japan Society in New York, I had not found an answer to where their high tech toilets came from.
I could have asked someone there of course but was not quite sure it would be proper to inquire.
This nagging ‘toilet’ question was finally answered today by Japan’s Hi-Tech Toilets (PingMag, December 17, 2008).
The bathrooms at the Japan Society are equipped with Washlets like the one pictured below (image from their website) from Japanese company Toto.
This Toto is a hero offering The Washlet which as its name suggests offers a refreshing toilet experience, a warm seat and also a quick wash and dry of your ‘derriere’ after you’re done doing what you have to do.
They are marketed under the umbrella of ‘clean is happy’.
Not cheap at around $1300 a piece yet worth a try.
