Maybe it would be some wine lovers wild dream that you could take Route Nationale 74 in Burgundy and somehow end in San Francisco having dinner at RN74, a restaurant slash wine bar imagined by Rajat Parr and partly bankrolled by Michael Milna.
Named after the main thoroughfare through which Burgundy wines get on their way to the world, the travel theme finds its way in the wine using Train Station like Departure Boards to list some of the wines served.
As for the food by French Laundry alumni Jason Berthold it does not involve lab coats according to Platform for Success by Nicholas Lander (FT, August 15).
Nicholas Lander also notes that Rajat Parr took off his list all Chardonnay, Syrah and Pinot Noir clocking at more than 14% Alcohol.
I cannot wait to visit RN 74.
I would not mind a trip to Burgundy either!
