When you don't go to Provence, sometimes Provence comes to you.
In a past couple of days it happened thanks to Kermit Lynch who are staging their Provence Day in Berkeley with Bouillabaisse on the Menu on September 19, a Cash Only event
The following week-end, in the village of Tavel, not quite Provence but right on the border in Languedoc, you can join the locals for Cuisines en Fetes ('Festive Kitchen') sponsored by Domaine de la Mordoree whose logo (below) graces this piece.
Most of the Saturday (Sept 26) activities are Free and include a Terrine of Boar contest, local food market, antiques and cooking classes for kids.
At 5PM on Sunday, September 27, sit for Dinner (18 Euros per person).
Here's the Menu (in French)
"Parmentier de canard confit, sauce vin rouge et raisins de Corinthe" (la genestière)
Tiramissu des vendanges (Auberge de Tavel)
There is also a Kids Menu for 6 Euros.
And wine of course…
Now you might change your plans for the upcoming week-ends.
