After a meeting at the Austrian Tourist Office to discuss their It's Time for Austria campaign highlighting all the country has to offer I went in search for ideas of Cheese and Wine pairings.
I actually found two Cheeses that combines these elements.
Called Le Rosé and made by Schardinger and gets its name from the fact that its rind is repeatedly treated with a marinade containing herbs, spices and you guessed Rosé wine (pictured below).
Schardinger offers another wine flavored cheese named Weinkaese whose rind is rubbed with Zweigelt for a grayish color (below).
The most recent Austrian cheese I tasted was Amadeus, also by the same producer.
