Imagine using your family as your cast.
Instead of taking your usual family snapshots, Masashi Asada casts his parents, brother and himself in as many contexts as possible from punk rockers to firefighting crew, restaurant kitchen staff to bikers.
His work is featured in an exhibit titled Asadake-La Famille Asada at Hotel Particulier Durey de Sauroy in Paris until June 18 (entrance below)…
The show is curated by Sylvia Schildge, a fellow photographer who fell for Masashi Asada's vision.
A related book Asadake was published I believe by Akaaka (Japan).
His work was also showcased in April 2010 at Three Shadows Photography Art Center in Beijing where I found the 'group of heroes' picture (featured below).
Not sure if it is part of the Asadake project.
