The people at Sur La Table wanted to remind us that some food at least the one they care about comes from people not factories.
These people run farms and they are the bones forming the skeleton of a book titled Eating Local (Andrews McMeel) written by Janet Fletcher in collaboration with Sur La Table.
No less than 150 recipes with in season ingredients are offered.
How do you put fresh food on the table, one way to do that is to visit your farmers market.
Eating Local also puts the spotlight on Community Supported Agriculture (or CSA) which create a dependable source of income for farmers and a weekly supply of food for their supporters.
The book is not just recipes from Sicilian Spring Vegetable Stew to Grilled Pattypan Squash with Chorizo and Cotija Cheese.
It intersperses the cooking tips with profiles of the providers from Dancing Roots Farm in Troutdale (Oregon) to Full Belly Farm in Rumsey, California not trying to make it picture perfect.
How can you put your hand on a copy of this edible treat of a book?
Answer the following 2 questions:
Which of these farms name is close to a country-rock band famous for an album about circle and uncle?
