Let's roll the Red Carpet for Opening Night of NYC Food Film Festival 2010 with Oyster Night
Celluloid will go from 2 minutes What's Virgin Mean? to Widow's Hole Oysters (meet Mike Osinski, Long Island oysterman), then the timely Working the Miles (portait of Gulf of Mexico oysterman and his wife), followed by The Perfect Oyster (talking oysters with Brent Petkau), The Mud and Blood (collecting and roasting oysters in Low country, South Carolina) plus Just a Drizzle and The Kee to Chocolate to conclude this aphrodisiac evening.
Food will be oyster heavy of course with raw bar of British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Rhode Island and Long Island Oysters followed by an oyster themed menu by Jimmy Carbone (Jimmy's 43)…plus Harpoon Beer, some wine, chocolates by Klee's.
Tickets are $95 if purchased in advance online, $125 at the door and include food and drinks.
Event takes place at Water Taxi Beach, South Street Seaport at 7 PM.
