A whirlwind of media attention is surrounding the release by Beautiful Books (UK) of Kama Sutra in Audio Book form.
This version, read by actress Tanya Franks is actually not a first. Erotic Spirituality and the Kamasutra by Wendy Doninger preceded it by a few years.
The new version priced at 9 British Pounds just makes that Indian classic a mass market contender.
Commenting on the release in Kama Sutra shortcomings solved by publication as an audiobook (August 4, 2010), Helen Pidd in The Guardian quotes actress Tanya Franks as saying "only the cigarette afterwards was missing".
I did not know smokers still existed.
Will this book storm the beach reading charts?
Beautiful Books also published 2 books closer to our hardcore subjects.
First one is Dominic's France: The Cool Climate, a tour of wine producers and restaurants in Burgundy, Champagne, Alsace and the Loire Valley.
Second, a bit more introspective, Going Where My Pig Is Headed by Sara Sharpe described as "one woman's solitary seven-year journey through the Mediterranean and the Middle East."
