After my first contact with the independent winemakers of Castelmaure and their striking images and designs, I just heard about their most recent releases.
It is fitting for people who create honest wines to offer for the 2009 vintage 2 wines named 'La Verite' (The Truth) and 'Le Mensonge' (The Lie).
What are they made of? Here's a hint (from winemaker's notes):
La Verite (2009) is mostly Grenache Noir (80%) with 10% (each) of Carignan and Cinsault.
Displays a cherry red robe, young wine with exploding fruit flavors.
Le Mensonge (2009) is 50% Carignan with 30% Grenache Noir and 20% Syrah.
It is more of the color purple, deeper, brings the guarrigue to your table.
I have not tasted either yet but I am looking forward to it.
