After taking a short breather on the Contests Front, we return this week with a title by Gibbs Smith, a publisher with whom we recently became acquainted.
While browsing their catalogue whose recent titles include Farmer Jane by Temra Costa and Eat Your Yard by Nan K.Chase, I found an older title, Sizzle in Hell's Kitchen (March 2009) by Carliss Pond.
With restaurants and ethnic cuisines at its fore, it covers both food and travel.
Sizzle in Hell's Kitchen opens a window onto 38 ethnic restaurants in Ninth Avenue neighborhood amongst them Bamboo 52, Barbetta, Becco, Bombay Eats, B. Smith, Cascina, Chez Josephine.
They represent 27 cuisines whose recipes the book shares so even if you don't visit New York, you can travel in your kitchen by trying out some of the dishes.
We don't want to make you sweat too much over our questions:
Here's what you need to answer in order to land a copy of this book.
Question 1: What type of flour is used to make galettes (not crepes) in Brittany?
Question 2: Name distant cousin of galettes in Ethiopian cuisine?
There's only 1 copy on offer so first correct answers get the prize.
Send your entries to info [at] njconcierges [dot] com.
We must receive all entries by Noon (US Eastern time) on Tuesday, August 10, 2010.
Only US and Canada entries are accepted for this contest.
If you won a prize from us in the past 30 days, please let others try their luck.
