The Journal du Vin reports (in French of course) that La Cave des Vignerons de Buzet, midway between Bordeaux and Toulouse, found a way to stand out from the crowd.
They decided to sell wine by the meter.
Someome realized that when you lay down 3 bottles of wine, their length pretty much equals a meter.
Hence the decision in Buzet to sell wine by the meter instead of selling England by the pound.
A meter gets you 2 bottles of red, 1 of white.
Sante!
