I realized that in the the contests I have run in the past years, all books except Everyday Harumi and to a lesser extent Fusion by Peter Gordon were about American and European fare.
With India Cookbook (Phaidon) we are served a bagfull of recipes (book is delivered in a bag that could contain rice).
1000 recipes from all regions of India have been assembled by Pushpesh Pant who after a foreign policy career has spent the past 25 years studying Indian food and cuisine and writing 14 cookbooks.
To the mostly native dishes, Pushpesh Pant added original recipes (or re-creations) by some of the Indian diaspora's best chefs including Suvir Saran of Devi in New York.
How can you win this 'India Cookbook' Contest?
Answer these 2 questions:
-How many regions or should I say states does India count?
-Not all Indians are vegetarians, name meat dish that is specialty and favorite in Agra and Delhi
We have 1 copy for the taking (first come, first serve).
