Month of March is turning into a marathon of tastings.
I still have not had time to go over my notes from Greek, Canadian and Alto Adige events of this week and Burgundy tasting Terroirs et Signatures de Bourgogne is coming up.
On March 16, the Burgundy Wine Board (BIVB) brings 35 wine growers and merchants not just for a tasting but also to illustrate the 'climats' notion in Burgundy or how each area has dictinctive qualities and character.
The theme this year is "Climats & lieux–dits de Bourgogne" for which they are trying to get World Heritage classification.
After New York, there will be a second stop for the Burgundy team in Chicago on March 17.
Both event are for trade and media only.
Planning a visit to the region check the Burgundy Wine Tourism site for expert advice.
