Contributions from Columbia to the Peace Corps, Rythm and Blues and Latin Flavors in the music department, the Smithsonian Folklife Festival 2011 sounds like the place to be in Washington D.C this 4th of July week-end.

At the Al Son Que Me Toquen Stage, join us for a Musical Journey through Colombia: City Expressions and Caribbean Rhythms, 6 to 8:30 pm.

The Smithsonian Folklife Festival runs until July 4th and comes back with second helpings from July 7 to July 11, 2011.
Event is Free.
Festival is held outdoors on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., between the Smithsonian museums.
