Taking a quick look at program of 4th Annual New York Craft Beer Week, one can see that it's not just beer that's flowing from September 16 to September 25, 2011.
Creativity is in full swing at least in the headlines for daily happenings from Concoction vs Penicillin (September 16) to Bike Brooklyn Beer Blitz (September 25th).
On opening day, September 16, Concoction vs Penicillin does not require a visit to the doctor. Instead head for The Counting Room between 5:30 PM and 4:00 AM and for $10 compare Brooklyn Concoction brew with Penicillin, the cocktail it drew its inspiration from.
From 12 PM to 4 PM on September 25, Bike Brooklyn Beer Blitz takes you on 4 hour tour of North Brooklyn's Brewing History, by bike, with beer! I assume the beer tasting takes place at various stops. Don't drink beer while riding your bike.
The tour organized by Levy's Unique New York "will end at Evergreen Cemetery on the Brooklyn/Queens border, where many of the Brewers are buried . . . with a surprise."
Cost is $30 per person, reservation is required.
The official kickoff party is Freaktoberfest, a blend of beer, bands and burlesque at Southpaw in Park Slope.
