At what level of popularity does a destination stand at risk of losing its green cred.
That's a question that came to my mind while reading about the growing number of visitors taking a hike in Volcan Baru National Park on the Quelzal's Trail (or 'Sendero Los Quetzales' in Spanish) linking Guadalupe, (near Cerro Punta) with the town of Boquete).
How much foot traffic can this fragile eco-system sustain?
Should access to 'green places' be rationed at times?
