Besides usual Turkey companions, Red Zinfandel or Pinot Noir, i was pondering what red wines out there would fit the bill.
Languedoc based wine evangelist Louise Hurren just tasted a Kalecik Karasi from Vinkara Winery in Turkey and suggests it as a good match.
I have to confess I have yet to cross path with a Kalecik Karasi which is actually also the name of the grape it is made from.
Vinkara also offers white wines made with native grapes Emir and Narince.
Thanks Louise for the tip on Kalecik!
