The January 2013 newslettter from Gambero Rosso covered a topic I was surprised to find In Thailand, it's harvest time by Lorenzo Ruggeri who notes that country's climate is less than perfect for vineyards.
He visited the PB Valley Khao Yai Winery located some 200 kilometers from the capital Bangkok.
Upon visiting winery's site, I noticed the prominent place of Chenin Blanc in its line.
Syrah is the other favorite grape of the region.
Lorenzo Ruggeri mentions in his article that for those who cannot visit, Khao Yai Winery, recently opened the Great Hornbill Bistrot in Bangkok where you can sample their wines with an array of dishes.
