The man considered as the creator of the World Wide Web, Tim Berners-Lee, reflects on how our data and creations got locked behind walled gardens and not just on social media platforms.
He looks at ways to make our data and creations portable between various platforms and usable in Let’s knock down social media’s walled gardens (FT, Sunday March 16).
Some of the solutions are initiatives he co-founded like Inrupt, Solid and the Open Data Institute, the ‘senior’ part, founded in 2012.
