Having not used AI at all, at least actively, deliberately, I was looking for point of views that could prove me wrong.
My trek started with Top 10 Reasons NOT to Use AI (February 19, 2025) on the Data Blog from Debevoise & Plimpton by 5 people from their team.
It led me to 15 Times to use AI, and 5 Not to (One Useful Thing newsletter from December 9, 2024) which inspired them.
There Ethan Mollick who besides writing that newsletter teaches at Wharton School offers 15 reasons to.
Of the 15 suggestions to use AI, number 11 piqued my curiosity as an entrepreneur looking to raise awareness about my latest project Mediterranean Work and Play .
Here’s Ethan’s Number 11:
“Work that is entrepreneurial, where you are expected to stretch your expertise widely over many different disciplines, and where the alternative to a good-enough partner is to not be able to act at all. AI can be a surprisingly competent co-founder, helping give mentorship while also acting to build the documents, demos, and approaches that are otherwise likely to be outside your experience.”
Disciplines where I need to stretch my expertise are marketing and subscription based newsletter Spend more time doing less that I created to get ‘Mediterranean Work and Play’ details in the hands of potential customers.
Number 11 makes a somehow valid point. I wish that Ethan Mollick had included a short example / illustration to show us what the roadmap would look like.
