I just grabbed scraps on information about these 3 hours of Literary Cabaret as they call it.
On July 21, 2010, a few artists perform under the Golden Hour banner at Forest Cafe in Edinburgh from 8 to 11 PM.
Jason Morton in The
Skinny (April 2010) describes The Golden Hour as follows:
An event that takes place monthly at the Forest Café,
combining literature readings, bad jokes, music, funny jokes, dancing
and visual rubbish in a cabaret setting.
The Forest Cafe is a self-described "volunteer run, not-for-profit, diy, arts action events social chaos
space!"
It is based in a large old church and also a vegetarian café!
All art events at Forest Cafe are Free as far as I can tell
The Golden Hour is also involved with Unbound, a Free Series of Late Night Events during Edinburgh Book Festival 2010 (August 14-30).
This literary stream of events landed on my desk thanks to the author of Who is Mr Satoshi, Jonathan Lee. It is his first novel, first one published at least.
