I mentioned my favorite Chocolate Fritures (small fish and shellfish assortment) in the run up to Easter.
I wish I had a chance to taste some Sarments du Medoc inspired as its name suggests by Sarments de Vigne (vine shoots).
The taste and the excitement of something different.
No pruning shears needed.
You just need to find them.
The best known in the field seems to be Mademoiselle de Margaux which brought this once popular item back to the fore in 2005. They also offer Le Raisin (below), a grape macerated in Rum and coated in dark chocolate.
There is now a contestant in the ring for Sarments du Medoc top dog with the Easter 2010 collection of Revillon. I mentioned their Papillottes in Chocolate, Passion and Billets Doux (November 09).
Sorry if I don't leave you much time to hunt for these before Easter.
I believe Dean and Deluca carries 'Mademoiselle de Margaux'.
You and I alike can surely enjoy this any time of the year.
