My teenage son complained for quite a while that his cellphone (mobile) was not charging properly so I took it to an ATT Wireless NJ Store nearby, was told that the charger was dead, that they did not make that part anymore and the best replacement would be a universal charger ($25) and the Samsung tips to fit the phone ($10).
Being a bit of a cheapskate or call me a comparison shopper if you want to be more generous, I waited.
As back to school day was getting closer and closer, I had to act.
I sent my son browsing online.
He found a deal on the replacement that was not made anymore (or so I was told) with a special Labor Day sale tag of $2.99 plus shipping ($4.99) for a grand total of $7.98.
I went ahead and placed the order on September 9.
It landed in my mailbox on September 15.
Guess where it came from? Hong Kong and it works…
