Wine can be fun.
With that in mind, Swirl Events has a Wine and Dessert Tasting in New York (midtown) on September 23 (7 to 9 PM) that brings wine together with homemade candy, chocolate, cookies and other treats by 6 local dessert artisans.
Amongst them Roni-Sue's Chocolates which can be found in the historic Essex Street Market (Monday through Saturday).
Their Honey and Tea Lollipops sound interesting but I have a weakness for truffles. Wondering what Roni-Sue 'Absinthe Truffle' (pictured above) tastes like.
I would not mind trying the organic cookies and brownies from Gotham Cookies either.
Tickets are a reasonable $35 per person and can be purchased online via the Event Page (scroll to the bottom).
