In the wine world, there is industrial strength production and small is beautiful.
Call it treats if you want and if you can afford them.
I had the pleasure to taste one of them at the New Values of Spanish Wine tasting in New York on March 18.
Only 1200 Bottles were made of Cisma 2005 from Bodegas Pujanza (Rioja Alavesa).
It is a very intense wine, deep color, almost opaque, 100% Tempranillo and clocks in at 14% alcohol.
Pricewise it runs in the $130-$150 dollars.
Enjoy if you find it.
