I already mentioned the 'Camembert-Sushi' connection yet I was unaware of the existence of bread-jelly-pop girl Baguette Bardot (Japanese site).
No it is not a typo, I did not mean Brigitte Bardot.
The video medley below says it all.
I discovered the fresh and crusty Mademoiselle Baguette Bardot thanks to an invitation by Architects Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham to their party celebrating 20 Years in Tokyo.
It took place at SuperDeluxe (In Tokyo) on April 7th and Baguette was performing.
Unfortunately I was somewhere in New Jersey as the party was going on…strong.
Mecha Mecha was there and captured Baguette live and on the scene.
Besides the one night event Klein-Dytham also published a book on the first 20 years and in conjunction are displaying their work at Gallery-Ma in Tokyo in a Free Exhibit opened Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm (except Fridays until 7pm).
The exhibit runs until June 6th, 2009.
