We tend to live in our cocoon and forget that it might be Winter someplace while we are still enjoying Summer here in the US.
Today’s holiday here, Labor Day is celebrated in most countries on May 1st.
Some are sleeping or might already be starting their Tuesday run.
Holidays and customs that are unknown to us might be very important to others.
So my message for this second edition of Monday Work Etiquette is be considerate and worldly.
Before calling someone abroad check the time (and date) it is there.
Use tools such as World Time Server (recommended by Darren Rowse) to check current and converted times as well as`local news.
While planning a trip to a foreign country, brush up on your knowledge of local customs and holidays.
This might prevent some embarrassing moments.
