I was not able to make it to the recent Zipper Factory opening party but will remedy that in part on Monday by joining the crowd at FR.OG, another addition to the New York restaurant scene.
Located at 71, Spring Street (between Broadway and Crosby) in Soho, FR.OG (France Origine) is the baby of Philip Kirsh and Chef Didier Virot.
His other venture in New York, AIX on the Upper West Side has been treated to rave reviews.
FR.OG will blend French cooking with influences from its ex-colonies (Vietnam, North Africa).
Are frogs legs on the menu? I will find out.
I am impatient to taste the results.
I will share my first impressions on Tuesday.
