On Gardening, Growing Plants and Growing People

With Spring, nature comes back to life.
Erika Andersen draws a lot of the inspiration for Growing Great New Managers on Change This from the Garden.
OK the title sounds dry, maybe Growing Great People would be more attractive.
Do not let the title turn you off.

Here are a couple excerpts and ideas I gleaned from Erika’s thoughts: Gain Influence and effectiveness by listening instead of talking. Be a mentor and harvest the fruits of your work " In being a leader there is a possibility that doe not exist in gardening: some of your plants have the potential to become gardeners". She suggests that ‘The Master Gardener’ should "approach the ‘people part’ as a worthwhile and important endeavor rather than thinking of it as a necessary evil".
