Prices keep going up, some in big leaps, as is the case for a storage space a client has been using for a number of years.
Since contents are not useful to them at the time, a decision was made to donate items to local non-profits who could put them to work.
I shared in details what was available to a number of organizations that could be interested with the materials (office and educational fare) and scheduled a first pickup with one of them.
2 hours before pickup, I received an email informing me that they could only take some of the items they had agreed to get.
I was told their warehouse did not have enough space for it all even though pick up had been scheduled after they checked with said warehouse.
The 2 man crew who showed up were nice.
One thing they were not was efficient loaders.
Because of that lack of skill, they left a quarter of their already reduced pick up lot behind.
I was able to schedule a second pickup for part of the remainder for later this week with another organisation.
I hope for the best with this episode.
