Red Red Wine…La Friande ‘Cotes Du Rhone’…A visit to Vinsobres

Looking for a new wine to Add to the List of $10.00 and under Reds, this Cotes du Rhone named La Friande by Domaine Jaume is worth a look or should I say a taste.
An unpretentious blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Carignan, it displays a good nose and soft tannins and some berry flavors> Try it with Grilled Lamb Chops or Ribs or a Salade Nicoise and a fresh baguette. The Domaine is located in the well named village of Vinsobres (or ‘Sober Wines’ in English).
Situated in the Drome, not far from Vaison La Romaine, the village also brings us lavender, truffles and aromatic plants.
It counts only 1100 or so inhabitants, sounds like a good place to rest and relax.
