Thanks to my prolific friend, illustrator Jean-Pierre Got, I was made aware of this year’s theme for the ‘Sonoma Wine Fair’ which is Celebrating Sonoma’s Heritage. 
I knew that grape growing started in Sonoma in the 1800’s but was unaware of its long history of cattle breeding and the ranchers that came with it.
Jean-Pierre Got entered the Poster contest for the event with this "Ranchero" displayed here…
Also worth mentioning is the Napa-Sonoma Wine Country Film Festival from July 19 to August 5th, a traveling event including Movies shown Al fresco (in the Vineyards, under the shining stars…hopefully)…
