I could hardly qualify myself as an expert in architecture so what attracted me when reading I did the best sandcastles by Margaret Kemp (today’s Financial Times) was more the spirit of its subject, architect Greg Noble than the architectural side.
With his wife Georgie, Greg Noble runs GeorgiGregg Designs in New Zealand.
I agree with him on finding it baffling when people do not seem to care about their surroundings, where they live.
His philosophy is centered on enjoying here and now and not worry about where future projects might take him and his family.
He is ready to move to other places as long as he feels passionate about the work at hand.
Greg Noble considers his creations successful if they generates feelings and and an energy flow.
In any case I found his approach very refreshing and inspiring and thank him for it.
