So far I have written of the Cotswolds as a rural retreat for the rich and famous.
Well tradition has its place there as Morris Men and Cream Teas start Cotswolds village fete season highlights.
In pubs and local fetes the Morris Men dance and entertain the crowd.
According to Wikipedia, the roots of this traditional dance can be traced back to the Moors.
Without the Cotswold Chatterblog I would not know about it.
Another interesting story they have is a listing of World Championships for Competitive Hobbyists. These events all take place in the UK actually.
Standing out are Bog Snorkelling plus Peashooting and Worm Charming.
The Chatterblog is written by the good people at the Little Gidding, Cotswold Bed and Breakfast (pictured here) who found me when I wrote a Cotswold flavored piece on Alex James.
If you need a quiet place to stay in the area, check them out.
