While attending the Future of Online Advertising conference in New York (early June), a reminder that a lot of the attention spent on the online world was an echo of the TV Networks approach (you know the 18 to 35 demographics…) really bugged me.
It gave me the impetus to offer to run a Panel at the next South By Southwest titled Just Over 50 and not Dead Yet!(for full disclosure I am one of these over 50).
After all a number of the thinking and creative brains working in the web sphere are not 20 or even 30 something.
Who buys books, consumes a lot of movies (even music), has a keen interest in food, wine and travel and the means to pay for it?
I do not yet know if Just Over 50 and not Dead Yet! will be selected.
Feel free to make suggestions on the topic including ‘speakers’ I could include on the panel….
