Imagine some of the most famous sites in the world brought together in one space.
This is what ‘Pieces of Peace’ does.
Buildings classified as World Heritage sites are recreated.
The twist is that they are all made of Lego®.
A photo report by Kevin McGue (on Tokyo Art Beat) Welcome to a World made of Lego®! showcases some of these works of passion including La Sagrada Familia, The Statue of Liberty and Gusuku Castle in Okinawa (my illustration, by Kevin McGue).
The exhibit takes place at Parco Factory and Logos Gallery in Shibuya (Tokyo) until February 25th.
It is called ‘Piece of Piece’ Part 2 as a previous event traveled to 13 Japanese cities between October 2003 and September 2007.
Unfortunately the Event and Gallery Sites are mostly in Japanese.
A great show for Tokyo Thursdays #26
