A few weeks back, February 29 to be specific, Pediatrics magazine published the results of Project Eat (Eating among Teens), a five year study.
It did not get my attention until I started reading Skipping Cereal and Eggs, and Packing on Pounds by Nicholas Bakalar (NY Times: March 25, 2008).
A nutritionist had strongly pointed to me the importance of breakfast as fuel for our body and a way to better eating habits.
Project Eat points to how healthy eating and a good start in the morning helps reduce fat as part of the body mass.
It might also contribute to a better metabolism and more even behavior.
So teenagers, listen to your mom, eat your breakfast!
