When I hear oysters, my antennas are out, eager to know more, that's the Breton in me.
Last week-end New Orleans was home to a Jazz Festival.
New Orleans will be America's Oyster Capital with the first ever New Orleans Oyster Festival on June 5 and 6.
Besides indulging in eating and shucking contests, festival goers will do a good deed.
The program tells us how:
"The New Orleans Oyster Festival will educate the country about
the benefits of the Louisiana Gulf Oyster, honor and celebrate
the restaurateurs and oyster farmers who have solidified the
New Orleans French Quarter's position as the "Oyster Capital
of America."
