As far as Rosé wines are concerned, I usually lean towards the Cabernet Franc type from the Loire Valley or Grenache, Syrah anchored ones from Rhone and Provence.
I strayed this time with Harmonie de Gascogne Rose (2009) by Domaine de Pellehaut in Montreal du Gers, Gascony.
It is almost the 3 musketeers and d' Artagnan with Merlot, Tannat and Cabernet as the base complemented by Syrah.
Refreshes you with its taste of juicy cherries, no sugary sweet stuff though.
The kind of wine you might sip a bottle of with a friend or two and decide to open a second one on a hot day…
No need for an intellectual exercise here, open, pour, taste, drink…
Thanks to Domaine de Pellehaut for being kind enough to send me a trio of their wines including this one…
