Slow Food wave has spread to many places outside Italy where it was born.
I mentioned a Natural Wine Tasting of Languedoc-Roussillon selections by Slow Food London on September 22 during Sud de France festival.
In Belgium, Karikol offers Gouter Bruxelles for the 3rd year in a row from September 20 to 26, 2010.
Catherine Piette of restaurant-take out place Trop Bon is spearheading the festivities, one amongst a group of 100 chefs, artisan gourmet companies and farmers.
A few things I noted on the Gouter Bruxelles calendar:
-A discussion on no waste (sustainable) restaurants
-Urban and local: honey from the rooftops and gardens of Brussels
-If all you have as open space is your window sill, classes will be offered on how to turn it into a mini garden.
Want to combine healthier fare and eating out, 56 eateries came up with a Slow Food menu especially for the festival.
