A couple hours ago, I wrote about the Importance of Water in our daily life and how we take it for granted.
For some, meeting friends for a cocktail on Friday eve as the working week comes to a close is a way to greet week-end's arrival.
Our latest contest was a Ticket Giveaway for the Ultimate Cocktails event taking place October 15, 2010 at Marriott Marquis in New York.
We have 2 winners, Carmen and Sean.
They were the only ones to come up with right answer to our question:
-Name one thing that is used to give both Cognac and Single Malt their color?
The answer was Caramel.
Carmen is a former model and self-described Scotch whisky expert. She is a fixture of New York's cocktail scene and on Libation Girl shares her latest adventures around town.
By day, Sean is an Advertising Executive in Manhattan. In his free time, he enjoys cultural events high and low including but not limited to food, drink, film, stage, art, music, and sport.
Having discovered Serge the Concierge via our Contest, Sean told us he 'enjoyed the global perspective of the blog which sets it apart from its peers.'
Too bad I cannot be at Ultimate Cocktails this evening. A work project is keeping me on this side of the Hudson river.
It would have been a pleasure meeting you both.
Congrats Carmen and Sean, Enjoy your treat!
Serge: The seminar on holiday cocktails was excellent. Leo Robitschek, of Eleven Madison Park, was one of 3 presenters who all provided home bar tending tips useful to both novices and experts. Overall, the crowd was quite lively, increasingly so as the evening went along. -Sean
