I had to read twice when I saw Elizabeth Bard announcing Carambar and Cocktails would be served at her Lunch in Paris book event at Omnivore Books in San Francisco on February 3.
I have not had a Carambar for decades. In my mind it was a schoolkids only candy bar.
Has Carambar achieved cult status in the US even though it's only available online?
Visiting the official Carambar site (French only), i noticed that they come in a number of flavors and learned they've been sold since 1954.
There is only one Carambar to me, the Classic Carambar (above) caramel flavor.
Will Elizabeth dance the cha cha cha or sing a Carambar and cocktails tune at her book signing?
(* Classic carambar image by way of Saveur du Jour who sells them)
