I don't usually find inspiration in sales yet i have to say that Japanese Culinary Center monthly sale for March got me thinking about placing an order on some of the porcelain objects on offer.
I especially liked the serene, clean lines of the Hakuji Condiment Set (below) by Hakusan Porcelain, 'an eighth generation ceramic company based in the city of Hasami in Nagasaki, Japan.'
JCC notes that "city of Hasami has a 400-year tradition in ceramics. The special feature of the ceramic of Hasami is the translucent beauty of the white porcelain."
Buying their products can be another way to show support to the people of Japan.
